In a dramatic escalation of the growing conflict, the United States has carried out targeted airstrikes on multiple Iranian nuclear sites, according to Pentagon sources and international news agencies.

The strikes, launched late last night, reportedly targeted uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz and Fordow, as well as several underground bunkers believed to be part of Iran’s nuclear development program.

Strategic Strike or Start of a Larger War?

The Pentagon described the action as a "preventive measure" to stop Iran from reaching weapons-grade uranium capabilities.
U.S. Secretary of Defense stated:

“Iran has crossed red lines. These strikes are measured, legal, and necessary to ensure regional and global security.”

Iran, however, has called the attack an act of war and has vowed “severe and immediate retaliation.”

  • Iran fired ballistic missiles toward U.S. military bases in Iraq.
  • Protests erupted in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad, with crowds chanting “Death to America.”
  • Iran's military placed its entire missile force on high alert.
